About Jane Yamada

Since art has always been my passion, I am especially fortunate to also have been able to make it my career.” After graduating from Art Center College of Design, Jane worked as a commercial artist for ad agencies, entertainment companies, book publishers, and toy companies.  Her client list includes Disney, Warner Brothers, Sesame Street, Mattel Toys, Tomy Toys, Macmillan Publishing, Scholastic Publishing, Random House, and many more.  More recently, she has been creating paper sculptures and paper collages.  Her sculptural wall pieces are made with metals and papers. The paper, she paints and texturizes, cuts into circles and applies them, along with the metal pieces, at different heights creating an undulating and dimensional effect.  Her sculptures are usually based on themes from nature, such as water, fire and wind.  Her paper collages are made by combining hand made papers with objects like leaves, twine, sticks, or stamps, and other found objects.   She has shown her work in the Summer Art Market, the Loveland Sculpture Show, the East Boulder County Artists Studio Tour, and various galleries in the Denver/Boulder area.
