EBCA is accepting applications for new member artists for our 2011/2012 year.  Applications are due Jan 27th, 2012 (recently extended!).  Be part of East Boulder County's exciting annual studio tour and join a vibrant community of local artists.

APPLICATIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BY OCTOBER 25th

Where:

600 Marshall Rd, Superior Marketplace near Whole Foods, Panera Bread, Sports Authority and others with excellent parking and visibility from the road entering the shopping center.

When:

November 13 – 21, 10am – 6pm

Friday, November 12th 6-9pm, Gala Reception & sales event with food and wine

Why:

This Annual Fundraiser gives our patrons a chance to shop under one roof. 20% to 30% of proceeds go directly to EBCA activities. This is a very important source of funding for EBCA. Over the years, sales have ranged from $7000- $12,000. Provides artists, a venue to sell artwork, and a chance to mingle with other EBCA artists.

Who:

All EBCA members and other artists and fine crafters working in all media can apply. Only original artwork will be considered.

What:

  • Our staff will hang the show like a Gallery - we have display cubes and tables
  • Back stock is encouraged and storage is provided
  • Artwork priced between $20 and $150 tends to sell best at this event
  • Drop off and check in, and pick up times must be followed.
  • EBCA handles all sales and provides a credit card service at no cost.
  • Artists are asked to provide packaging for sold artwork.

Fees & Responsibilities:

  • $10 Non-refundable Application - Jury fee for non-EBCA members + $100 Entry Fee due upon acceptance of application
  • $100 Entry Fee due from EBCA members
  • Please make checks payable to EBCA
  • 20% commission paid by EBCA members
  • 30% commission paid by non-EBCA members
  • Participants are required to work approx 8hr. shift cashiering, wrapping, restocking, set up/clean up crew

 Included in your application fee is:

  • Premiere East Boulder County location, in Superior, close to Lafayette, Louisville, Longmont, Erie, and Boulder.
  • Beautiful postcard announcement – approx 10,000 to be printed. Electronic pdf version for email invites.
  • Press releases to newspapers, media, and organizations
  • Posting on radio and news calendars
  • Signage provided prior to sale date
  • Poster displays
  • Listing on EBCA website
  • General Liability insurance
  • Soft drinks, wine and light snacks at the reception

Welcome Lorrie Caplan

We are happy to welcome watercolor and acrylic artist Lorrie Caplan of Longmont.  Her work is characterized by loose, abstract forms with vibrant color.  Her work has appeared at NCAR, National Center for Atmospheric Research, Boulder Community Hospital, Longmont United Hospital, Historic Highlands Building in Boulder, and the Asian Art and Film Festival 2006 in Aurora, CO.  EBCA is please to have Lorrie join us this year for our 11th Annual Studio Tour.

Welcome to Chris Cain

Chris Cain joins EBCA from his photography studio in Louisville.  We are pleased to welcome Chris to our growing membership of talented artists in East Boulder County.  He adds a new perspective on the photographic art resulting in wise, nostalgic images

New Member Carol Watkins

We are pleased to welcome contemporary fiber artist Carol Watkins to EBCA.  Carol brings an interesting new approach to fiber arts to EBCA with her blen of digital technology and traditional needle arts. As Carol states, "I strive to create art that connects each of us to nature and the world around us.  I use art as my means of communication just as a writer uses words.  I hope to share my vision and awaken others love of nature through imagery created in fiberart."

Judy Sanchez EBCA Photographer

Judy Sanchez is our newst photographer to join EBCA.  We are happy to welcome her to the 2010 studio tour.  Sanchez draws inspiration for her work from her childhood growing up on her grandparents' ranch in New Mexico.

Welcome to Robert Castellino

EBCA welcomes accomplished photographer Robert Castellino to our membership.  He specializes in wildlife and nature photography in addition to portraits.  Robert has been in Lafayette for a number of years, was hired by the Indian Peaks Golf Club to photograph their course and has developed a successful art career.  We are pleased to have him as an EBCA member.

EBCA Call for Artists 2010

East Boulder County Artists (EBCA) is a diverse group, composed of artists from Front Range Communities. We are now accepting applications for new artists for the 2010 Studio Tour.  For forms and information visit www.EBCAcolorado.org/join-ebca.  Call Joseph Sikora at 303-604-2741 with questions.
