About Anita Jantz

Anita Jantz, an award winning artist has been painting professionally since 1989. She is known for her use of vibrant colors. Her favorite choice of medium is watercolor.  She states, “I love the transparent glow transparent watercolors offer. I enjoy how the delicate transparent colors intermingle, producing a merging of different hues.” Florals and landscape scenes are her preference, showing her love for nature.

Her exhibitions include showings at the Lafayette library; YMCA, Boulder; the University of Colorado, Boulder; Third Avenue Gallery, Cherry Creek, Denver; Boulder Outlook Hotel, the Muse Gallery and numerous art shows with the Louisville Art Association including the juried National Art show in September 2008. She was the featured artist at the Glendive Montana gallery for the month of June, 2009. She is a juried member in the East Boulder County Artists and Longmont Studio Tours and national Richard Schmid auction for the last three consecutive years.  Her work is displayed in numerous venues in Boulder County, including Three Sisters Curiosity Shop, Boulder.

Anita has received numerous commissions and her art can be found in private collections both locally and nationally.

She also teaches watercolor, offering workshops at various locations in Boulder County as well as classes and private lessons in her studio.

Artist’s statement: “I paint what excites me. I love nature. I see color abounding  everywhere and I love to enhance these colors in my paintings for the viewers to see what I see. I strive to record and make permanent those things in life which are fragile and fleeting. I hope to give the viewer a new visual experience of what nature has to offer.”
