About Linda Ehlers
My goal as a glass artist is to continue to expand my knowledge of glass and share what I learn and know with others (students, customers, other artists and teachers).
In 1986, after graduating from college with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering in Massachusetts, I took up the art of stained glass as a hobby to give myself a break from math and computers. After moving to Colorado in 1994, I started the business of Great Glass Galore in April, making custom windows. In the fall of 1994 I taught a class for the East Boulder County New Comer’s Club, found out that I liked teaching and started teaching my own classes shortly after this. Then I added classes for Boulder Valley’s Life Long Learning program in November of 1995. I’ve had several students win awards in the Denver Botanical Gardens glass show, and I have made custom windows as large as 7’x9’.
I’ve been teaching stained glass since 1994, and fused glass since 2001. I taught one class for the East Boulder County New Comer’s Club in 1994, and I’ve also taught for Boulder Valley’s Life Long Learning program from November 1995 - May 2008. Other classes I teach through my studio include mosaics, stepping stones, lamps, snowflakes, and fused ornaments.
