About Theresa Beckemeyer

Theresa’s painting enthusiasm began to develop in 2003.  She has taken classes from local artists and at the University of Colorado.  Her enthusiasm has progressed to the stage of joyous obsession.  Theresa is currently studying under Ron Hicks at the Art Student League of Denver.

Her collection of  books and videos  describe techniques and visions of admired artists, such as Nicholai Fechin, Juaquin Sorolla, John Singer Sargent, Andrew Wyeth, Edgar Degas and Jeffrey Watts.  What she most admires about these painters is their ability to make the painting flow, to suggest motion.  I strive to capture their ease of brushstrokes and flow of color, to honor the beauty of everyday life and to help people smile.
