About EBCA
EBCA Mission
Our mission is to promote the visual arts, with emphasis on education and outreach, in East Boulder County. We work to build a strong and diverse community while serving the needs of our member artists.
Who We Are
East Boulder County Artists is a non-profit organization featuring a diverse group of artists from Louisville, Lafayette, Longmont and Superior. Since 2000, EBCA has presented annual studio tours, and conducted educational outreach programs to enhance public awareness of art in eastern Boulder County.
East Boulder County Artists is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization founded in 1999.
Annual Studio Tour
Each year, EBCA members open our studios for one weekend in May. We invite the public to visit our studios and see who we are, how we work, and the unique environments where we create our art.
While our Annual Studio Tour takes place in Lafayette, Louisville, Superior, and Longmont, participating artists do not have to live or work in these communities in order to join our association. We have numerous artists who would happily share their studio space with those living outside our East Boulder County boundaries.
Our geographic boundries for the studio tour are:
North: Hwy 66
South: Superior
East: County Line Road
West: 75th Street
Outreach & Education
EBCA Members bring their talents to the community throughout the year. Our growing group of sculptors, painters, printmakers, fiber artists, glass artists, potters, book binders, wood carvers, and metal smiths offer individual and group lessons at community centers and artist's studios.
EBCA provides workshops and demonstrations to the local under-served population and the community at large. The annual Studio Tour serves as an excellent opportunity for the public to learn from EBCA artists; there are always a number of demonstrations occurring throughout the Tour weekend at individual studios. In addition, outreach projects have included partnering with organizations such as Balfour facilities, Project Yes, the Lafayette Peach Festival, Legacy High School, Mesa Elementary School and the Association for Community Living.
Outreach and education are primary objectives of EBCA. In the last year alone, EBCA held more than 110 group or individual artist activities reaching approximately 4400 attendees and guests.
